Our new favorite place to eat and hang out. We're coming back tomorrow for brunch, and Tuesday for some blues. We sampled a lot of small plates, and the burger. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten! Go here!

Let me begin by saying I'm a huge supporter of new local businesses. That said, it's unfortunate that our experience was so disappointing. We won't be back. Food: mediocre. They were out of many items! How can a restaurant be out of salad!? On a Saturday night??? We tried ordering 2 other menu items and they were out of those. Caesar salad was tasteless. Almost as if it were a store bought bag salad. Yuck. Bacon wrap dates weren't bad. Stuffed mushrooms were good. Or were they. We were ravenous so it's hard to tell if we were happy to eat anything at this point. Also, beer and wine only. Again, they were completely OUT of draft beers. ALL of them. And wine menu was unimpressive. Who's running this joint?!

Stopped in for our first time on Saturday for brunch. It has a fun atmosphere inside and great patio for brunch. I got the Chorizo Scramble and my bf got the Egg Sandwich. Both came with potatoes and were really good. They use really good ingredients that don't taste like a pile of grease. The one thing I didn't care for was the limited menu. There are only 2 things on the menu I'd order so I would have to be in the mood to come here. Also, they are a little pricey, more like downtown prices. You don't sell many $7 mimosas, especially when there are a lot of restaurants that have between $1 & $3 mimosas to draw people in. But overall, it's a good place with good food.

I came across this restaurant after reading things about it on City Weekly and decided to give it a try. The online menu looked very appealing, but I was a little disappointed when I was given a printed copy of just a few options for the evening during my dinner visit. My boyfriend and I tried the Arancini, some sliders and the Flank Steak. The description of these items sounded really delicious, but I was slightly underwhelmed with the flavors. They were a bit bland in taste, but it wasn't bad. I liked the ambiance of sitting out on the patio, and would like to try out their brunch menu sometime.

We had small dinner plates. The beef sliders and garlic parmesan mashed potatoes were really good! Hubby liked the grilled ancho chile pepper shrimp. They also have a entrees menu as well. We liked the music with dinner, and the atmosphere.

This relatively new restaurant really took me by surprise. Had a very nicely-presented and delicious trout dinner and others in our party enjoyed a variety of delicious meals, as well. The service was excellent, just the right mix of attentive but not overbearing. Looking forward to my next meal here or maybe a live music event.

I am very impressed with this new addition to the the neighborhood! Bleu Bistro has a solid menu of small plates and entrees. We opted for a variety of tapas, so we could try several different items. We had: cheese plate, beef sliders, french fries, sausage-stuffed mushrooms, calamari and a nice bottle of Chilean red wine. Yeah, maybe we went a bit overboard with our order, but I'm glad we did. Overall, the food was very good. The sliders and fries were the highlight of the meal and were super delicious. Everything was good, but the squids were a bit undercooked and greasy. The sauces for the fries and calamari were also bland and unappetizing. The calamari is the only thing I wouldn't order again. The space is comfy and inviting. It has a semi-formal vibe, with dim lighting and nice decor. Even with the fanciness of the place, I think I would feel comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, since the staff is friendly and casual and everything is laid-back. There is a daily happy-hour, with discounted small plates, from 3pm-6pm and even the regular prices are perfectly within reason. They have a great wine and beer list, with many selections costing just $5/glass or $20/bottle. No sense bringing your own with those prices! The live music was great on the Friday night we ate here and we're already looking forward to Spring/Summer when they open up their huge patio!

Today was our second visit to Bleu bistro. I was underwhelmed last time by the food but the patio area was nice though so we decided to go back and bring the kids this time. Sunday brunch as a treat for hiking up the hill. Big bummer when we got there to find it locked. I checked their website before we left, yelp and even their own answering machine all confirmed it should have opened at 9. We called and waited 20 minutes with no response before marching our hot grouchy selves back down the hill to The Blue Plate Dinner for a wonderful breakfast that incidentally cost less. Save your time and money. Even if they serve you it was nothing special last time. Not quality enough to be posh, not generous enough to be homestyle.

Sunday Brunch was awesome! Bacon wrapped dates and eggs Benedict...just can't get better than that. My wife had the sourdough French toast and and it wasn't quite as tasty. Not sure if there is any good sourdough in Salt Lake City. Definitely won't hold that against them. We will definitely come again.

Ordered the Cajun scramble. Great spice, authentic flavor. The bacon again, thickly cut and cooked so on point. Not too crispy not soggy. The potatoes have a unique subtle spice as well. Still need to come back for tapas.

Visiting from Oregon and came here for brunch. Food and service were good. Cool atmosphere, probably a cool place to come for dinner. I'm sure we will come for dinner when we are visiting our son at college.

Often in music venues the food is an afterthought. Not at Bleu Bistro. Our party of four arrived at five to a near-empty restaurant. Instead of ho hum service, we received immediate and professional seating, drink orders taken, and descriptions of the menu from Lade, our server. We ordered small plates: The calamari arrived promptly and were fresh and tender (could have used a salt dusting), sliders were seasoned and popped flavor, mushrooms stuffed with Italian sausage tasted like more, roasted Brussels sprouts had deep flavor and tenderness, and the house-smoked blue marlin dip was tops. Reminded me of Legal Seafood's smoked blue fish pate`. Cannot wait to return and try more from the menu.

Carl wyant is going to prepare my last meal before I die. He truly knows how to make delicious small plates and progressive chef driven food in a very competitive. I tried the lamb Tapa, beef wanton and the chicken terrene all of which were amazing because of the sauces and perfection in their preparation. He also has a fantastic wine and beer list that won't empty your pocketbook. If that weren't enough he has real blues regularly from traveling nationally recognized bands. This is my new favorite place!

Great lunch/brunch venue. Our table had eggs benedict, pancakes, sandwiches. Highly recommend the NY strip steak sandwich! Great crispy steak fries. Enjoyed the outdoor patio location on a warm spring day. Look forward to a return for a music night.

We've only been there for breakfast but it's quickly becoming a favorite! Great coffee and all the entrees have been great --- I've had the pancakes, cooked with a nice crisp and served with house potatoes (which usually never happens with pancakes.) Their bacon is thick and cooked perfectly. Other breakfast companions have had the eggs Benedict, Cajun scramble, breakfast burrito, and breakfast sandwich -- not a complaint in the brunch! Very nice servers and a mellow environment with jazz/blues (not live -- that's reserved for evenings) playing in the background. It hasn't been very busy the couple times we've gone which is a shame -- this place is much better than other nearby breakfast joints like Eggs in the City. Definitely worth a try if you've never been and definitely worth return visits! Can't wait to try dinner one day soon.

Just one word,, Amazing! The atmosphere is not only beautiful inside and out, but the staff is wonderful and very attentive. the first time we went there we were a bit unsure. Not really knowing much about this place except some great reviews so it was worth a try. But i have to say after being seated outside the ambiance was something i have never seen before and hard to explain,,,it was romantic but laid back yet relaxing and at night it lit up beautifully. Ok so now time for the food WOW and WOW the flank steak which may i say i don't like to eat at all but it i was feeling adventurous and let me tell u I'm so glad i was!!! it was marinated so well and tender. OMG which i don't use often, but wow its hard to find steak this tender and trust i look a lot,, but it didn't stop there they had such amazing food it just kept getting better so we decided that we just had to try Sunday brunch cause egg Benedict is hard to get right,, the egg the sauce,, forget about it.. But wow and again wow it was perfect and the french toast its making hungry now I have been 3 times in a week and that is saying a lot,. I would say run don't walk to this place. it is amazing and its sad that not a lot of people know about this place, actually its not horrible for, me lol but for there business it is and i really rarely say how great a place is cause let face it,, not a lot are great or even good these days but this place is so worth mentioning and this long ass review.. HOPE you try and pass the word its like i said AMAZING!!!

The food was tasty and appropriately priced. So awesome to have live music but it was a bit too loud for conversation. We ordered some small plates, a first course, entrees, and dessert but would just go with all small plates next time. The Bleu Nuts were very savory, the fries were delicious but aioli was a little flat. Brussels Sprouts were not remarkable and this comes from someone who loves Brussels Sprouts. The cauliflower soup was a little bland but the cashews added a tasty crunch. Salad was good, came with a lot of Gorgonzola. The favorite entree was the Chicken Saltimbocca pronounced 'delicious '. The salmon was tasty and hot and crispy on the outside but the accompanying rice and broccoli ( a beautiful bright green) were cold and a bit salty. The blue fin tuna with lo main was reported as good. For dessert we shared the flourless chocolate cake (small serving but very rich) and pecan pie which was not too sweet and had a flavorful crumbly crust. We loved the atmosphere and Melissa was a terrific server.

Went "early" to catch the small plates at 1/2 price, for our first time there. Not all small plates are 1/2 price, but good choice of those that were. Lamb meatballs with feta truly delicious. Loved the bacon-wrapped dates. Home-made potato chips were perfectly, shatteringly, crisp but the "blue cheese" dip had only a passing acquaintance with any blue cheese, and was served in a cute tiny dish but which was impossible to use without spilling on the tablecloth. Pork Belly slider was tasty. Good selection of inexpensive wines by the glass. Shared the apple "strudel" dessert -- really perfectly seasoned apple crisp with ice cream scoop -- big enough for two, but sharing leaves you wanting more. Look forward to going back and trying other menu choices.
